The estate is located in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade, locality « Clôs du Blanc », facing north and 2690 feet above sea level. Our vines grow on a variety of land, plains, valleys and hills, so they can fully express the potential of this unique soil. Our vineyard offers a large range of typically provençal vine types : Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, white Ugni and Vermentino. An ancient and very fine lot of Syrah overhangs the estate to the north-west : 0,65 acresplanted way back in 1947. This lot is historical in the vineyard as well as in Provence, since very few lots were planted with this type of vines before 1950. Brilliant idea of a brilliant mind ? Experiment of a passionate ? The question will remain unanswered. Two lots of Grenache and Syrah, planted on hillside more than 985 feet above sea level, give us a great vue on the Luberon hills, the medieval castle of Le Puy Sainte Réparade and the Sainte Victoire mountain.

Chateau Dauzac, 5th Grand Cru Classé of Margaux, is one of the oldest vineyards in the Médoc. Since the acquisition in 1988 by the French insurance company MAIF the estate is one of the jewels of the appellation. Laurent Fortin, general manager, aims to strength the rebirth of the chateau by creating a second Grand Vin: AURORE DE DAUZAC. This wine asserts perfectly the expression of the Dauzac terroir and is sponsored by the charming Stephanie Quellec, winner of the French Top Chef show in 2011 and today Executive Chef of Prince de Galles Palace Hotel in Paris.

Chateau de Rolland, situated just outside the village of Sauternes, thrives of an exceptional terroir just next to the Cirons River (perfect microclimate for Botrytis). The origins of the estate date back to 1492 when the “de Rolland family” acquired the domain. Faithful to its past, Mr Jean Guignard transmitted his knowledge to his three children: François, Lucie and Monique who now manage the chateau. The Guignard family, with whom Barrière has been working for some 30 years now, regulmarly produce an exceptional and highly reliable “golden” wine !

The superb vineyard of Marsac Séguineau covers 10 hectares in the heart of the Soussan commune. Since 2001, Château Marsac Séguineau and the neigbouring Château La Tour de Mons were acquired by the Credit Agricole Group (which also own the Pauillac Classified Growth, Ch. Grand Puy Ducasse) therefore sharing management and technical staff. Produced with the same care and attention as its neighbour, Château Marsac Séguineau is an expressive wine, powerful, elegant and typical of the best Margaux crus.

Château La Croix Meunier belongs to the 5th generation of the Meunier family (going back to 1840). This miniscule estate of 3 hectares is located in the north-west of Saint-Emilion near Châteaux Figeac and Cheval Blanc.

Amiral de Beychevelle is the second wine of Château Beychevelle and sold on exclusive basis by Barrière Frères. The name “Amiral” was given to this wine in homage to the château’s 17th century owner, Duc d’Epernon and Admiral of the French Navy under Henri III. Clearly identifiable to Château Beychevelle, the wine is soft, elegant and fruity with excellent breed. With “Amiral”, the objective is to make a wine which can be drunk earlier than the Grand Vin.

2nd wine of Ch. Beaumont. The vineyard of Château Beaumont has been known since 1824 and thirty years later its splendid castle in a Renaissance style was built. Various famous owners follow one another hoisting Beaumont to the forefront of the “Crus Bourgeois Supérieurs”. With the arrival of Mr. Etienne Priou (Manager) and with the guidance of Mr. Philippe Blanc (Ch. Beychevelle), the estate has taken a noticed qualitative turn-around since 1986 and continues to confirm its position among the sure values of its appellation and classification.

Dating back to the 1980’s, Grand Bateau is the fruit of the collaboration between Maison Barrière and Chateau Beychevelle, our sister company. The boat which decorates this label is the mythical galleon of the famous Château Beychevelle which took part and sponsored the conception and creation of Grand Bateau. Today, Philippe Blanc, Château Beychevelle’s winemaker, provides us with the ultimate technical guidance in our famed assemblage of these wines. Elaborated by our oenologist starting with a selection of the best wines from our partner estates, Grand Bateau incarnates the complexity of great Bordeaux. Stylistically impeccable, consistent and unique, Grand Bateau is crafted to satisfy both young consumers and confirmed amateurs alike.

The Antinori family has been involved in the production of wine for over 6 centuries. Today the firm is run by Marquis Piero Antinori with the support of his three daughters. Tradition, passion, and intuition have been the three driving principles which have led the Marquis Antinori firm to become a leader in Italian wine.

In 1321, under the reign of Pope John XXII, four barrels were brought from the papal cellar in Avignon to be filled with wine in Châteauneuf. In 1909 Pierre Tramier bought the property and Beaucastel then passed to his son-in-law, Pierre Perrin, a scientist who considerably increased the vineyard holding. His efforts were continued by Jacques Perrin until 1978... Today the torch is carried by Jean Pierre and François, sons of Jacques. But Marc, Pierre, Thomas and Matthieu, who represent the fifth generation, are ready to pursue this fabulous family history.

Domaine de Baron’arques is a very old estate, dating back at least to the 17th Century, when it was called Domaine de Lambert. In 1998, the estate was acquired by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her two sons who entrusted the management of the Domaine to the family company, Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A.

A milestone of excellence in the Wine World. Masseto comes from Italy’s most celebrated 7 hectare plot of Merlot located in the region of Bolgheri.This wine was born in 1986. This small, exceptional and legendary “Cru” has become one of the world’s most sought after wine.

Opus One is the fruit of a collaboration between two legendary visionaries and pioneers in wine, both exuding a passion of excellence and perfection, Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi. The 1st vintage produced under this partnership was 1979. The name “Opus One” was chosen as it defines the musical expression denoting the first masterwork of a composer. As for the winery itself, the architects Johnson, Fain & Pereira initiated the groundbreaking in 1989 and the facility was completed in 1991.

Joint venture concluded in 1997 (first vintage 1996) between Baron Philippe de Rothschild & Viña Concha y Toro. The name “Almaviva”, though it has a Hispanic ring to it, nevertheless belongs to classical French literature: Count Almaviva is the hero of The Marriage of Figaro, the famous play by Beaumarchais (1732 – 1799) later turned into an opera by the genius of Mozart. The label, meanwhile, pays homage to Chile’s ancestral history, with three reproductions of a stylised design which symbolised the vision of the earth and the cosmos in the Mapuche civilisation

An Estate that nurtures its vineyards with the greatest respect for natural balance and terroir since 1808. The family motto “Fac et Spera” – do and hope – says it all. Two words that sum up all the patience and daring that this art demands: patience in relation to nature which resides; daring for the winemaker, who observes, chooses and assists. In the heart of the “Libournais” region, near Fronsac, on perfectly exposed southern slopes, the affable Ricardo and Evelyne Roberts have been running this estate since 1987. The origin of the Chateau dates back to the 14th century. Regretably, the fortress was destroyed during the French Revolution (1789).
