GESIPA® blind rivets – For every application Blind rivets are available in a variety of designs, materials, forms, lengths and even colours. Depending on the task which the blind rivet should fulfi l, GESIPA® can choose between a standard model available from stock or a blind rivet specially designed for the application.

The iBird® Pro is the latest tool in the GESIPA® Pro series with the new CAS battery.It can be networked with a smartphone, tablet or PC via an app! The app is available for Android and iOs devices. The iBird® Pro can be connected to three devices at the same time. With a setting force of 15,000 N and the well-proven brushless motor, the iBird® Pro is powerful and fast when setting blind rivets up to Ø 6.4 mm in any material. The optional Autoreverse function additionally shortens the pulling process, ensuring the iBird® Pro is immediately ready for operation. The iBird® Pro is extremely simple to connect thanks to the QR code located on your tool. Simply scan the QR code with the GESIPA® app and the iBird® Pro will automatically connect to your device. The optional setting process assistant from GESIPA® helps operators to adjust the setting process and evaluate riveting processes. Washer-shaped locking head This valuable locking head shape distributes the contact pressure evenly over the component, making it the perfect fastener for riveting soft and brittle components such as plastics and composites. Large clamping range One PolyBulb® blind rivet replaces up to three conventional blind rivets and reduces part variety. Combining multiple dimensions saves handling and storage costs and also permanently reduces the risk of confusion in the workplace. Controlled hole reveal By filling the hole according to the requirements, the PolyBulb® blind rivet creates an optimal connection. Grooved blind rivets are suitable for riveting in blind holes in soft materials. They are used in the furniture industry, in interior fittings, in the wood and plastics processing industry, in car body construction and many more. Important: Before processing the grooved blind rivets, the drill hole diameter must be determined by testing and the minimum drill hole depth must be observed.

The blind rivet connection itself is a non-detachable connection. However in order to be able to attach further detachable components GESIPA® has the threaded blind rivet in its product range. The threaded blind rivet has a stud with M5 or M6 external thread to which further parts can be mounted using an additional nut.

The PowerBird® Pro Gold Edition is even more powerful. Thanks to the brushless motor and the setting force of 20,000N, it is even able to set G-Bulb® and PolyGrip® blind rivets up to Ø 6.4 mm of all materials. In order to set particularly long rivets, the stroke has been increased by 25% to 25 mm. Even faster, almost no wear Because brushes that are susceptible to wear are no longer used, the motor of the PowerBird® Pro Gold Edition has an extremely long service life with almost no wear for the highest setting rate. The unparalleled ergonomics of the tried-and-tested TAURUS® series are now also available on the Power-Bird® Pro Gold Edition, guaranteeing fatigue-free work. The GESIPA® TRI-FOLD® blind rivet forms three press lashes on the closing head side during setting. The advantages The large moulded lashes distribute the exerted clamping force evenly and gently onto the riveted material. Also, the large surface of the lashes offer excellent protection against the rivet being pulled through very soft, porous or brittle application parts. Thanks to its special design, the TRI-FOLD® is also able to compensate over-dimensional or irregular drill hole diameters. Application areas TRI-FOLD® blind rivets are excellently suited for the automotive field, e.g. for plastic panelling, car body parts and for the interior work inside vehicles, but also for all other applications that are particularly soft, brittle, easily deformed or porous.

With its compact design the tool sets blind rivet nuts up to M12. Furthermore the GBM 40-R has a great application access and low weight. The ratchet function provides a very good power transmission. Reliable with low wear. On the HONSEL BZ 143A, the clamping jaws are specially adapted to the trapezoidal grooves of the rivet mandrel. In combination with the modified clamping mechanism, this guarantees secure and positive setting of FERO® BULB high-strength blind rivets (or comparable types) with mandrel diameters from 3.8 to 6.15/6.5 mm! Wear of the clamping jaws is minimised!

Large grip ranges and higher shear and tensile forces - OPTO®-Bulb is the universal rivet for difficult jobs.The OPTO®-Bulb is combining the flexibility of multigrip rivets with the excellent strength of the FERO®-Bulb series. It offers a secure locking of the remaining mandrel as well as a smooth formed closing head.

The specialist for blind rivets up to 8.0 mm in diameter! Special high-strength FERO® BULB blind rivets (and similar types) are set easily and reliably by the combination of short stroke and very high setting force (24,000 N!).

GESIPA® blind rivets are also available in colour to match the application. To guarantee the best possible durability the hollow rivets are painted using a two-component epoxy resin paint in a stow enamelling process. In addition to the visual benefi ts, the painted blind rivet also has added protection against corrosion. Aluminium blind rivets are best suited for this procedure. In the long-term they achieve the desired visual effect when joining coloured parts. GESIPA® blind rivets are available in the standard RAL colours. On request, steel blind rivets are also available in RAL colours or even special colours. Another method for colouring blind rivets and for protecting them against corrosion is to anodize them. The Eloxal method is more complex but is the most durable process for coloured blind rivets.

Hammer stroke or drive rivets are set by driving the mandrel into the rivet body (e.g. by means of a hammer). This causes the lower end of the rivet body to expand and allows riveting components with openend boreholes and also riveting of blind-end boreholes.This riveting technology is suitable for the most diverse material combinations. For blind-end boreholes, a trial is necessary in order to establish the optimum rivet length based on the component characteristics and the firmness requirements.

The strong CERTO®-PERFECT special sealed blind rivet forms a large and smooth closing head by its special clamped rivet sleeve. This head makes sure that the danger of pull through in case of oversized bore holes can be reduced to a minimum. Additionally the tightness in standing water is increased significant.

According to the ARCO body-bound rivet the folding rivet forms a large upset head too. Thisguarantees an equal distribution of forces, so that especially plastics and other soft or vulnerable materials resist against cracking or pullthrough. Typically this rivet is used in all areas of industrial light weight constructions. As a result of the locked mandrel in the connection, the spread rivet is splash water resistant. VVG offers two different types – the standard split rivet and a high strength version with neoprene washer.

Self-clinching rivet nuts from series 10.455 and 10.456 are riveted into the component. A shaft is passed through a pre-punched hole in the component and riveted on the opposite side. The base material is not deformed in the process. These threaded fasteners feature serrated shafts that cut into the metal sheet surface, ensuring a high torsion resistance and torque load capacity. In addition to insertion with the aid of a press, these models can also be inserted using hand tools.

During the setting process, edges on the mandrel head cut the rivet shaft into four segments. These four segments then unfold on the component surface thus forming the large locking head. Once the mandrel reaches its predetermined breakload, the mandrel head falls out of the rivet body. The large locking head allows connecting soft or britt le components and helps transfer high tensile forces.ARCO body-bound blind rivets are preferably used for plastic or wood element assembly, caravan manufacturing and fastening of cladings.

The OPTO multigrip blind rivet with his especially embossed rivet shaft, is distinctly different to a standard blind rivet. Due to his constructive structural, the rivet guarantees lots of excellent performance characteristics: — large grip range — good filling capacity of the borehole — non-positive locking of the captive mandrel without clearance — no rattling sounds — dustproof and splash water-tight Preferred applications for OPTO multigrip blind rivets can be found in the field of vehicle manufacturing, in air conditioning technology as well as in the production of tanks and cntainers. Furthermore, this rivet type is excellently suited for use as a repair rivet. Honsel develops for this blind rivet type special variants for the serial producti on, too, e. g. large grip range low grip range with a diameter up to 8,0 mm!
