The IF2008/ETH interface module is designed for multi-channel applications. This module allows for up to 8 Micro-Epsilon sensors or encoders with RS422 interface to be integrated into an Ethernet network. Furthermore, the converter offers 4 programmable switching inputs/outputs (TTL and HTL logic) as well as 10 indicator LEDs, which show the channel or device status directly on the device. Parameter setting of the interface module can be easily done via the web interface.

The IF2001/USB interface module converts the digital RS422 signals of a laser optical sensor into a USB data packet. For this purpose, the sensor is connected to the RS422 interface of the module. The converter loops through further signals and features such as laser on/off, switch signals and function output. The connected sensors and the converter can be programmed through software.

Magtrol’s line of Displacement Transducers provide contactless measurement of absolute piston position in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and other applications. Their robust construction, large insensitivity to shocks and very long life (due to no moving parts and therefore no wear of components) make them both cost effective and very reliable. Magtrol transducers offer a wide range of operational temperatures and admissible pressure resistance for even the most demanding applications. The transducer provides a direct 4 - 20 mA output signal corresponding to the measuring range, as well as VDC temperature output. As an option Magtrol offers the CST 113 Signal Converter, which allows the complete chain to be calibrated according to the specific needs, either in current or voltage output. The DI Series of displacement transducers were developed principally for OEM applications in the hydraulic industry.

Of all the quality features mentioned, linearity and conformity are the values most often defined in the existing literature (2). These terms express the extent to which the voltage output from a potentionmeter, and also other types of angular of linear movement sensor, differs from a prescribed theoretical function. In by far the majority of cases, the desired output function is directly proportional to the angel or linear movement that is input. Formula: Fig. 5. Whereby m characterizes the gradient, the offset voltage of the potentiometer and the linear or angular travel. Where there is a linear relationship, deviation is referred to as linearity. With the CALIPRI C14 wireless hand-held measuring device, you can evaluate gaps, edges and design lines with high accuracy and in seconds. The measurement is carried out using the patented Calipri principle - a further development of the laser light section method with automatic tilt and roll correction - which eliminates possible misalignment of the sensor. The user defines the position, evaluation strategy and tolerances of the individual measuring points. The measurement is then carried out with a swivelling movement of the sensor. The sensor records the contour from different perspectives - down to the depth of the gap or completely around a fold edge. The software then evaluates the gap dimension, the flush and the radii. The measured values are displayed on the tablet PC and sensor and compared with predefined limit values using a traffic light system. The measurement data can then be printed as a report or exported as a data record and transferred to existing databases.

The optical incremental encoders SPM (increased torque) and SPNTM (reduced torque) are ideal for applications that require high durability and adaptability of the sensor. The optical incremental encoders of the series SPM (increased torque, in IP55 on shaft side) and SPNTM (reduced torque, in IP40 on the shaft side) are characterized by their reliability and long lifespan of more than 100 million shaft movements. The sensor with Ø6 mm or Ø6,35 mm (1/4 ") shaft is fixed by means of central thread. Depending on the version, a resolution of 50…1024 pulses per revolution (360°) is available as TTL or Line Driver output signal. Upon request, further resolutions such as e.g. 1250/2000/2048/2500/4000/4096 and 5000 ppr are realized.
