The most planted variety worldwide and one of the most popular ones when it comes to walnuts. Moderately to very vigorous and semi-erect, with a medium growth rate. It yields extremely abundantly. An early bearer starts bearing two to three years after planting. Late-leafing and a late flowering variety. Pruning is advised. POLLINATORS: Partly self-fertile. Franquette is the best pollinator for this variety. FRUIT APPEARANCE: An oval, thin shell with a smooth surface, light-colored, well-sealed. Pears (Pyrus communis L.) represents a genus of plants from the family Rosaceae, also related to apple and quince. Because of its delicious fruits, it is cultivated for more than 4000 years and more than 1000 varieties are known up to now. Fresh fruits contain up to 20% of dry matter, 9-15% of sugars, organic acids, cellulose, a significant amount of tannin and pectin, as well as numerous minerals, vitamins, and micro-elements. In addition to consumption as a fresh product, the pear is used in the processing industry for juice, jams, compotes, and others. Vigour of this variety is medium to strong, and branches follow a spreading and ramified growth structure. It flowers mid-season around 5 days before Golden Delicious. A spur bearer. POLLINATORS: Different variety with same bloom periods like Granny Smith, Braeburn, Cox, or any other early flowering diploid variety. FRUIT APPEARANCE: The fruit has juicy flesh, sweet-sour in taste. The flesh is firm, whitish color, and medium-fine texture. The skin of an Idared apple is light green in color covered with intensive red on 50 to 60% of the surface of the fruit. The shape of Idared is Flattened round. The tree of Granny Smith variety has a medium to strong vigour. Flowering comes mid to late, around 2-3 days after Golden Delicious. Granny Smith is a good pollinator and has very reliable and good yields.
