It is an insulative cable wrapping tape. A woven polyester/nylon substrate coated on one side with a cross-linked acrylic insulative compound. APPLICATIONS Separating. Binding. PRODUCT BENEFITS Allows the venting of volatiles. High breaking strength. Good abrasion resistance.

Semi‐conducting, self‐amalgamating EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) tape. Its colour is black. The product and interleave are printed with the cautionary words semi‐conducting to distinguish the product from insulating tapes. APPLICATIONS For ensuring the continuity of conductor and core screens at cable joints in a variety of polymeric and elastomeric insulated cables. For jointing power cables up to 69kV. For stress cone construction, where it provides the conducting layer. For smoothing electrical stresses on irregular shaped lugs and connectors. For smoothing electrical stresses in joints and terminations using premoulded components. For smoothing electrical stresses on overhead power lines, reducing discharges and consequent interference to local radio and telephone communications.
