In addition, we also recommend it for all DIY painted MDF projects as it is less prone to fibre lift when painted. Black MDF Board is pretty much a standard MDF board that has been dyed throughout with a black pigment during the manufacturing process. Cut it, shape it drill it, machine it, the end result is a black faced, black core MDF board. Black MDF wood panels are made by a number of companies including Valchromat, Fibracolour and Spanalux. We have access to all three manufacturers products however, we currently only stock the Spanalux black coloured MDF version. Our Black throughout MDF sheets are available in a maximum, untrimmed size of 2440mm x 1220mm and thicknesses of 9mm, 12mm, 16mm 19mm and 25mm. Finishing Black Core MDF To further enhance your project we can, upon request, supply our Black Dyed MDF panels with a laminated finish from a number of suppliers, in a wide range of colours. We can also provide Black MDF panels cut to size and clear lacquered in a water based PU coating, if required.
