Thanks to the handpicked selection of Malvasia and Trebbiano grapes from Podere Casale I °, harvested and left to naturally dry for approximately three or four months after the harvest, an excellent Vin Santo DOC Riserva di San Gimignano is born. The lightly dehydrated grapes are then pressed and the juice is transferred in small barrels, made with various types of woods from different regions of the world; here it is left to rest for at least 48 months. Only the best casks are chosen for bottling the Riserva. In 1998 Vin Santo obtained the Chianti DOC denomination status, elevating the standards of production for the entire region. Our Vin Santo del Chianti DOC Riserva is suitable for a long aging 1015 years and beyond.
