Beer loss and oxygen intake are reduced to an absolute minimum, making the SCHULZ filtration system attractive even for small-scale brewers. A continuous dosage of filtering aids (cellulose and/or perlite) ensures that the permeability of the candle and flexibility with fluctuations in the filter inlet are maintained. Furthermore, the use of a downstream particle filter is rendered obsolete thanks to special depth filter cartridges. For operating batches of more than 10,000 hl, the service life of the filter can be increased, as is shown in the unit pictured here, by a separator and adjoining buffer tank. Old heating systems often have problems: The entry of oxygen and dirt as well as limescale into the heating system causes oxidation on the in-ner walls of the heaters and pipes. The result is black heating sludge or “black water”, which settles in the pipes. Malfunctions and a reduced heat output are the negative results. The solution The innovative filtration system FIBALON® professional hotbox enables the heating water filtration in a closed system without installation effort. The polymer fiber filter FIBALON® tool, developed especially for the filtration of heating sludge, works similar to all innovative FIBALON® products and systems. The innovative FIBALON® solution removes heating sludge in a reverse filtration circuit. Metallic and non-metallic particles up to a size of 10 µm are filtered out. New filter material can easily be refilled. The FIBALON® professional hotbox also guarantees a continuously high and efficient heat output in old heating systems.

Ultrafiltration of milk retains the fat globules and the proteins. The inorganic salts and the lactose, along with some of the water, are partially removed as permeate. The resulting retentate is a partially concentrated milk with reduced lactose and mineral content.

The FRMD is used to remove the upper layer of foam, oil or fats. The natural flow within the basin, together with the suction of the pump, attracts the surface of the water towards the center of the FRMD. An adaptable floating weir allows the upper layer to enter the pump and be removed from the basin. The weir and the submersible pump are mounted on a robust floating structure held in place by cables and springs or guiding tubes. Depending on the application and the geometry of the basin, the FRMD can be mounted together with a MIX SL (directional submersible mixer) or MIX-AS (floating downdraft mixer) to help the flow towards the weir. Applicable for removal of oil, fats, bulking + aging sludge, recycling of scum in sludge stabilisation + biogas, SBR and ASP tanks.

To assist bio-digestion FB aspirates and breaks high volumes of foam forming on the surface of some biological and thermophilic reactors. Foam is drawn into the volute where the degassing tube allows air to vent to atmosphere and liquid to re-entrain. Nothing is discharged from the basin. The Aquaturbo AER-AS is a high-speed floating mechanical aerator. It consists of a high efficiency ambient operated motor customized to Aquaturbo wet environment operating standards. The unit is constructed from stainless steel and consists of a one-piece float, a suction cone, and a two flight Archimedes style Screwpeller®. The Screwpeller® generates a flat and large-diameter spray pattern maximizing the air-water contact zone. The AER-AS is easily adaptable to nearly any basin configuration. With a lengthened intake cone section, the AER-AS can penetrate water depths up to 8 m. This allows the unit to draw activated sludge of low oxygen concentration from the bottom of the basin to be transformed into an oxygen-rich surface discharge. Thickening of sewer station sludge Thickening of sludge from urban or industrial effluent treatment plants The sludge suspension is introduced into the centre of the circular thickener. Submerged turbine operating at low speeds combined with an air blower for oxygen input. The Sofie® Submersible Aerator/Agitator is a mixing unit for extremely challenging applications. The units minimise blocking or clogging, the Sofie® can be used as an aerator or an agitator for wastewater treatment. Sofie® is designed to be installed at the base of tanks and to operate either in aeration or in a mixing mode. Sofie® is a good alternative to mechanical fine bubble aerators and is suitable for ponds with oxygen or mixing requirements.

This product is designed to descale fine bubble membrane diffusers by injecting formic acid to their internal surface. This operation is required when an increase in head loss is observed and to significantly reduce calcium carbonate deposits (carbonation) in the membrane. The EUROMIX® vertical shaft floating agitator is designed for all mixing applications and operates at 1000 rpm. The liquid rises to the surface of the tank and discharged at the base. The EUROMIX® flow-guide pipe allows the fluid to be directed to the base of the tank and can be used for deep tanks. The specific flow created ensures the mixing of the liquid. The general basis of the mixing being vertical, the water is directed at very high-speed causing a laminar flow by the agitation unit at the tank base. The EUROMIX® thus prevent the formation of dead zones in the tanks. It prevents sedimentation and rapid settling in holding and mixing tanks.
