Sometimes size does matter – when it comes to packaging, for example. Sometimes supersize products or extra large amounts of goods require a unique solution. This is where Dürrbeck side gusset tubular film comes into play! This plastic film is similar to standard blown or tubular film, with the exception of its added side gussets, or folds. These allow the film to expand to cover larger circumferences – with a relatively low film width. At Dürrbeck, you can order side gusset tubular film with a maximum circumference of 6,000 mm. Side gusset tubular film is the perfect solution when you need to package bulky, large goods. It is affordable and suitable for a wide range of uses – from delicate laundry or garment bags for clothing to durable protectors of wooden covers, or as special packaging for food. Blown film consistent quality by the roll At Dürrbeck you can expect a large selection of tubular film in various widths and thicknesses and with a range of features. This variety is important as products vary in their shapes and sizes, and require different levels of protection. Plastic blown film is especially suitable for products with adjustable lengths. Blown film is typically made of low-density polyethylene (LDPE). Polyethylene is affordable, durable, watertight and tear-resistant. Depending on how it will be used, we also produce plastic blown film made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), medium-density polyethylene (MDPE), and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). Blown film made of DKFol®-Eco and DKFol®-Eco-Coex offers especially high strength with low thickness. These films allow for a reduction in thickness, without compromising on strength and stability.

The thicknessGAUGE O.EC is a compact inline measuring system in a stable O-frame design with an aluminum roller and an integrated control cabinet. The system is used for precise thickness measurements of plastic strips and coatings up to 3 mm material thickness and web widths up to max. 1250 mm. To obtain a cross profile of the material thickness, the sensor is traversed over the film. Keeping the sensor fixed at a particular position enables a thickness profile to be generated. Integration takes place in complete production lines, e.g., in plastics production and battery film production. The systems can be integrated into new plants or retrofitted directly into existing plants.

The intermittent Form Fill and Seal machines flexo 500/700 Push are pusher-machines that wrap difficult products with ease, such as glass bottles in bundles or salt and pepper shakers. They collect and group the products in order to subsequently push them into the film. In order to ensure that no products tilt over, our machines maintain physical contact with the articles to be packaged until they are safely in the bag. The transversal sealing unit is designed as an intermittent version and processes a wide range of films and product dimensions. The packaging styles features a bottom overlap.

The intermittent Form Fill and Seal Machine flexo 700 scores similarly to the basic modell flexo 500 with maximum versatility and flexibility, but is designed for the packaging of large format products with a width of up to 620 mm. Whether shoe boxes, boards, shelves, ladders, ironing tables, large calendars, pots, tissue rolls, insulating mats, etc., you are instantly equipped for any kind of large format application with this machine – daily changing orders, for example. The flexo 700 features a side-sealing unit. The transversal sealing unit is designed as an intermittent version and processes a wide range of films and product dimensions.

Lining made of PE or Aluminium, EVOH, PA etc. in combination with PE as well as electrostatically conductive foils for rigid or flexible Intermediate Bulk Container. Customer requirements and fields of application determine the material’s strength. The product range includes liner with filling and /or discharge spouts, simple liner (welded at the bottom and open at the top) as well as formstable liner with a grid, particles which allows an improved product flow. This liner can be produced as strengthened PE-Liner as well as Aluminium-combined liner. An ingenious system ensures that the layer made of Aluminium will not be strained and therefore still displays a barrier which offers a 100% security. Additionally, Pacliners are produced with a fixed cardboard at the bottom on request. EMPAC has also developed a special liner for the filling of EPS (expanded Polystyrol) whose special film recipe prevents a product-gas escape.

EXTRU - Melt pump for extrusion and pressure increase of medium to high viscosity media. The extrusion gear pump is mainly used in combination with extruders or kneaders. It reduces the natural pulsation of the extruder and compensates for fluctuations in delivery, especially in single screw extruders. The extrusion pump is used as a melt pump. It builds up the required feed pressure, which is needed for the downstream die. The pressure build-up in the gear pump can be much more efficient than in the extruder itself. The extruder is relieved by using an extrusion pump. Furthermore, considerably less energy or heat is introduced into the polymer. The melt pump thus contributes to conveying the product as gently as possible. The EXTRU is indispensable for the production of precise films or micro pellets.

Short path distillation is a thermal separation technology operating at process pressures in the range of 1 to 0,001 mbar. It lowers the boiling temperature and is an excellent method for gentle thermal treatment of heat sensitive, high boiling products. The short path evaporator consist basically of a cylindrical body with a heating jacket, a rotor and an internal condenser. The rotor creates a mechanically agitated, thin product film on the heating surface inside of the body. By means of gravity the product flows down in a spiral path, whereby the volatile portion of the product evaporates. The vapour passes by the shortest route and with practically no pressure drop to the internal condenser. The non-volatile portion reaches the lower part of the evaporator and is discharged through the bottom product outlet. The residual vapours and inert gases flow through the vacuum nozzle to the vacuum system.

Allflex B is a member of the product family of flexible PA/PE medium barrier multilayer bag films produced by means of coextrusion. The polyamide and polyethylene multilayer barrier film offers excellent stiffness values which have a positive effect on the output during bag production. The film is powdered lightly, making it thus easier for the consumer to open the bag. The allflex B 11-layer film is available in thicknesses from 65my to 85my and scores well in packaging processes under vacuum or MAP in both the food and non-food sectors. Due to its temperature tolerance it is also ideal for pasteurisation and microwave applications. EXCOR VALENO Skin Film adheres to the packed product as tightly as a second skin and retains the product on the so-called skinboard. VCI skin packages are particularly suitable for protecting small items and replacement parts from mechanical and corrosive damage. In practical applications it is advisable to combine EXCOR VALENO Skin Film with EXCOR ABRIGO Skinboard because fibre boards with no corrosion protection can induce corrosion if they come into direct contact with metal surfaces. All EXCOR VALENO Skin Films are suitable for use in packing machines.
