High-precision pressure sensors from the 8201 series provide exact measurements while exhibiting very little sensitivity to mechanical stresses. Model number 8201 precision pressure sensors are robust, economical, and are available in standard measuring ranges. Their good technical specification and high reliability make them optimum for measuring pressure in all fields of machine construction, process technology, as well as in measurement and control technology. The pressure transducers are easy to handle and immune to shock loads and vibrations as they are designed without moving parts. All pressure transducers without an internal amplifier have a standardized output signal of 1.0 mV/V. This enables the user to change a transducer in a measuring chain as liked without following readjustment of the electronic. Customized designs are available on request. The Suvis GmbH offers flat pressure sensors (see photograph), which we produce ourselves and which can be used for classical static pressure measurements on solid surfaces like automobile frames. The flat pressure sensors are applied especially in cases where one cannot place a borehole in the respective surface. Hence, flat pressure sensors represent “transportable” static pressure boreholes, which one can glue on the surface of the flow body. The photo shows typical flat pressure probes. Typical dimensions are 17 mm (diameter of the flat disc) and 0,5 mm as diameter of the pressure borehole. The disc consists of bronze, while the measurement tube is made of high quality steel. The sensor model 8228 with its measuring accuracy of 0.05% F.S. (for the measuring ranges ≤ 1 bar, the measuring accuracy is 0.1% F.S.) ideally suited as a reference sensor. The compact dimensions, the robust housing and the industrial-grade output signal result in a very wide range of applications. All components in contact with media are made of stainless steel. An integrated measuring amplifier converts the measuring signals directly into interference-free voltage signals or current signals that can be transmitted over long distances. With the „gage“ measurement type, the pressure measurement is carried out against the ambient pressure, the sensor has a bore that is protected against ambient influences to compensate for the ambient pressure. With the „Absolute“ measurement type, the applied pressure is measured against an enclosed vacuum; this measurement type is available from the measuring range 0 ... 250 mbar. The electrical connection is made via an M12 x 1 connector.

The DAIL fulfils the requirements of EN 1114-1 for overpressure protection of extrusion lines and offers maximum comfort of operation. The auto-zero function enables calibration directly on the device or from the observation point/controller. On the output side, the melt pressure transmitter provides a switch output in addition to the analog signal which enables switching off the machine in case of overpressure according to EN 13849-1, PL=c.

The F02 has been designed for application in systems which require a pressure transmitter with a Performance Level PL d or a Safety Integrity Level of SIL 2. It has a thin-film measurement cell made from stainless steel which is welded together with the pressure sensor and thus guarantees high media compatibility. It is available within pressures from 10 to 1200 bar. The output signal is made available at two outputs in parallel, whereby the second output represents an inverted signal. Users can select between a ratiometric and an 4-20-mA output in three-wire technology. The permitted media temperature range extends from -40…+125 °C. The total accuracy in the compensated range of 0…+80 °C lies at <= 1 % FS. The possible flexibility during integration into an existing machine is ensured through the provision of a multitude of available pressure connections as well as the small construction. The electrical contact takes place via a 5-pole M12 connector. The F02 also has E1 approval.

The M01 series has been especially designed for applications in adverse ambient conditions in the same way value is placed on high resistance to aggressive media. Furthermore, the modular principle permits many combinations of pressure connection, pressure range, output signal and connector, so that the right sensor can be found for most applications. For pressure ranges from 10 to 2000 bar, which are frequently required for use on mobile machines, welded stainless steel measurement cells are used which are suitable for media temperatures from −40 to +150 °C. Depending on the type of measurement cell and the material coming into contact with the media, the M01 is resistant to aggressive/non-aggressive gases and liquids. On request, versions in 316L design for use in hydrogen pressure measurements are available. In addition to CE and UL certificates, every M01 product with a 1.4542 stainless steel measurement cell possesses an E1 approval verifying its suitability for use in vehicles.
