Kelvion heat exchanger coils are manufactured with copper tubes and aluminum or copper fins. The fins are equipped with special profiles developed at our R&D department enhancing heat transfer and keeping pressure drop at a moderate level. The customized fin spacing is achieved by collars which also provide the contact between the fin block and the tubes. Mechanical expansion of the tubes guarantees a perfect bond between the fins and the tubes leading to maximum heat transfer between both fluids.

Our range of transformer oil air coolers for forced oil cooling systems can be supplied in different mounting variants. The standard air cooler version is designed for direct mounting on the transformer tank. In addition, our range of products comprises free-standing transformer oil coolers designed to customer specifications. Transformer oil air coolers are available in different design versions.

Closed circuit coolers are designed according to customers' requirements and assure exact compliance with their performance specifications. Our finned systems enhance heat exchange to the tube system and allow low material usage without performance loss. Tooling flexibility allows each system to be adjusted with its tube banks side by side or on top of each other, offers options of meeting extreme customer demands. Our many offical approvals and certifications allow us to design and manufacture closed circuit coolers for many and various applications.

A Box Cooler is a vessel water cooling system. It comprises a U-tube bundle that is fitted in the sea chest on the side of a vessel, saving space in the engine room. The sea chest is equipped with inlet and outlet grids. Cooling sea water enters through the inlet grid and flows along the U-tube bundle to the outlet grid, thus cooling the water inside the tubes. The cooling effect is achieved by the forced circulation of sea water when the vessel is moving or by natural convection when it is stationary. Box coolers can be used for a wide variety of temperature-reducing duties on a vessel, from cooling the main engines, auxiliary engines and bow thrusters to air conditioning and hydraulic systems. Kelvion Box Coolers are ideal for small and medium sized vessels, including for example: tugboats, barges, fishing boats, carriers, dredgers, supply vessels, ferries, ice breakers, cargo freighters, tankers and reefers.

This new addition to our product line is a compact heat exchanger made from high-alloyed stainless steel and can handle temperatures up to 550°C. Its compact and modular design makes it extremely versatile and easy to service. Our exhaust gas heat exchanger is designed to recover heat from exhaust gas produced for example by combustion engines used in combined heat and power plants. The heat exchanger transfers the heat from the exhaust gas to a liquid (water or water-glycol solutions). When heated up, this liquid can be used in central heating systems; for preheating air in the combustion chambers of furnaces and turbines; to dry coal, pulp, wood and other materials as well as for generating electricity with a Rankine process.

Our fully-welded plate heat exchangers make a convincing case due to their minimal size, outstanding thermal transfer coefficients and comparatively minimal investment costs. They are particularly robust and require only minimal cleaning and servicing. Their design advantages come into play especially in areas, in which, in addition to the output, load capacity is also a requirement.

We offer various fan sizes, multiple speeds and suppliers, coupled with an extensive range of tube and fin profiles, to enable products to be tailored accurately to meet the application demands. The wide range of fan choices ensures that the optimal balance between air volume and capacity, operational noise levels and power consumption to meet market price levels are achieved. The tube and fins can be supplied in various materials, depending on the internal or external corrosion properties.

Transformers with forced oil cooling systems require reliable, glandless transformer oil pumps. We offer a large range of such pumps, from which customers can choose a type that suits their specific requirements and ensures optimum operating conditions. Our oil circulation pumps are of simple, straightforward design and robust construction. Due to their compact size, the pumps can be easily integrated into the oil circuit. Four pump designs are available for different applications: Power Transformer Applications Inline and angle-type pumps with radial impellers and inline pumps with propeller-type impellers. Traction Transformer Applications Pumps with radial impellers for traction transformers in rail-mounted vehicles.

The EGR Cooler, developed in close collaboration with our customers for medium and low speed engines, ensures that the recirculation exhaust-gas is mixed at the lowest possible temperature with the air for the combustion process. EGR Coolers are an essential element of EGR systems for the next engine generation which already now fulfills future emission guidelines according to IMO (International Maritime Organization), EPA (US Emission Protection Agency), EURO, etc. We have developed various cooler designs with regard to the different requirements of EGR Coolers at 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines. The patented design for 4-stroke engines high pressure EGR system enables cooling of exhaust gas, some of which are over 700 °C, down to 50 °C.

Optimization of the global efficiency of a power plant based on the Rankine Cycle, requires the incorporation of highly specialized equipment that supports the maximization of the efficiency of the steam cycle, reducing the primary energy consumption, minimizing the environmental impact and helping to optimize the OPEX and consequently the return on the investment. Different applications require different designs for an optimal fit, so we provide Shell & Tube heat exchangers in single tube design with plain, low and high fin tubes and also with compact fin bundles. The plain tube design is most suitable if media have similar heat transfer properties, where the compact fin design means the best possible performance if there is a substantial difference in heat transfer rate, for example when exchanging heat between oil and water. The low and high fin single tube solution is between the previous two designs in order to further optimize on flow, pressure drop and velocities of media.

Our range of transformers oil water coolers can be supplied in different mounting variants. The standard water cooler version is designed for direct mounting to the transformer tank. In addition, our range of products comprises free-standing transformer oil coolers designed to customer specifications. The coolers in general are used for specific types of transformers, such as furnace transformers or rectifier transformers. A further application is machine transformer cooling at hydraulic power plants. Transformer oil water coolers are available in different design versions.
