PSD 42 direct drive is a mechatronic system with integrated control, bus interface and absolute measurement system without battery. This drive is ideal for automatic format changeover. The stepper motor with integrated control and bus communication permits higher velocities at lower torques. The PSD can be easily addressed by rotary switches (not for IO-Link). The instruments can be mounted on a spindle using the hollow shaft without the need for an additional coupling. The optional rotatable attachment housing allows you to attach the direct drives to the machine in any position, no angle plugs are required.

Versatile transfer system for metal sheet handling, designed as the main element in a series of presses which eventually combine with load/unload systems. The system features high positioning precision with heavy duty cycles and high dynamics, and is also available for very extended lengths. It manages cantilever loads to keep one side of the series free for operations. The system is driven by a belt with Ω transmission. When the positioning cone and bush are mated, the balls are pressed together within the rubbers elastic range and thus locate the two parts in which they have been fitted, with maximum accuracy. To ensure that the rubber in which the balls are embedded is deformed within the elastic range, one must merely ensure that the depth of the hole into which the positioning bush is later pressed is precisely observed. The positioning cone is supplied ready to fit into the positioning bush and must simply be fitted into the counterpart component. Henceforth, a precise zero point positioning system is in place.

Ball end locating pins are specially designed to ease the locating process. The tendency to jam, caused by the locating hole not being at right angles to the pin or by the pushing force not being parallel to the pin axis, is minimized by the ball-end form (see illustration).

Due to its high resistance to abrasion, the sensors are particularly suitable for measurements for the purpose of quality assurance in ongoing production, where a long service life and large numbers of rotations are required. The potentiometric angular displacement sensor uses a multi-finger slider system with precious metal contacts. This ensures good contact even when moving at high speed and in the presence of vibrations.
