Health and safety is of paramount importance to all industries. Our introduction of edge rounding and dressing eliminates the sharp edge, known as a burr that occurs during the production of steel strip and coil. Our updated edge dressing machines are capable of producing both large and small quantities of stainless steel strip and coil with a kinder safer rounded edge or full round edge. We can edge dress on site to a maximum width of 150mm. Certificates of conformity, showing the exact chemical composition of the material are supplied with each delivery. We provide: Bevelled Edge - Used for spiral wound gasket production, with 90º angles. Sak - Fully Rounded Edge - Many clients require material to have a fully rounded edge (SAK). GK - Slit edge Standard material with a maximum burr 5% of the material thickness. WAK - Flat rolled edge - Many clients require material to have a deburred edge (WAK).

Stainless Band has in house rolling facilities to produce temper rolled strip in various hardness or tensile to suit client requirements. Stainless Band Ltd has in-house rolling facilities to flatten and produce temper rolled stainless steel strip to suit client requirements. These are available in various hardness or tensiles to reduce cross camber or “D” Section. For higher tensile over 1000n/mm2 (330vpn) we can supply precision mill material. Our production capacity for stainless band temper rolled strip is 0.10mm up to 2.0mm with a hardness range of 0.1mm up to 2.0mm with VPN ranges TR 230, TR 280, TR330, TR380 and TR430 and tensile ranges of 800+ 1000+ 1200+ 1500+ and 1900+ n/mm2. Stock grades are 430, 301, 304 and 316. Our production capacity for stainless band flattening provides a gauge range: 1.00mm up to 3.0mm, with a width range: from 10mm to 110mm, stock grades: 430, 301, 304 and 316.

Winged clips and lapover clips are available from stock in AISI 304/1.4301 and AISI 316/1.4401 in the sizes below, Also available subject to size of order and availability: Aluminium clips, Alu/Zinc clips, toggle clips and expansion joints.

Our stainless steel banding and boxed banding is available in the following sizes in AISI 304/1.4301 and AISI 316/1.4401 with bright smooth finish BA or matt smooth finish 2B finish are available from stock. Other widths and thicknesses up to 50mm (2") are available upon request. Aluminium and Alu/Zinc banding are also available subject to size of order and availability. Certificates of conformity, showing the exact chemical composition of the material are supplied with each delivery. Coils are supplied banded on pallets and shrink wrapped. Maximum pallet weight 1500kg. Our standard boxed banding sizes are available in grades 304 & 316. Banding can be supplied with sheared, handsafe or round edge.

Customers who use narrow width strip can increase productivity with oscillated wound coils as large as 1000kgs. The benefit of this larger wound coil is that the coil needs to be changed less frequently and therefore reduces downtime. Common uses for oscillated wound is the building industry and automotive sector, this process has been proven to increase machine output by 40% on pressing lines. Our oscillating wound is available in thicknesses 0.40-3.00mm with a width to 3.00-80mm. With a coil weight of 100kgs or coil OD 1,000,00mm and pack width optional 200/350mm. Our stainless steel oscillating wound is WAK edge dressed on wooden spools. The inside diameter is 406, 508 flash butt welding method with reannealing. The welding method is 90 degree TIG-skew tolling, seam smoothened. Marking is in accordance to client specification.

Precision strip used in the manufacture of spiral wound gaskets and other processes such as pressings. Our Bobbin wound material is extensively used in the gasket sealing industry. Bobbins can be up to 15kgs and speed up the change overs and reduce scrap loss. Our spiral wound gasket production facilitates thicknesses of 0.20mm, 0.18mm, 015mm and 0.10mm. Widths come as standard in 5.33mm, 5.0mm, 4,75mm with a minimum width of 2.50mm. The minimum order for our bobbin wound products is 20k depending on the grade ordered. All of our spiral wound gaskets can be supplied on plastic ribbon or pancake coils. Our inner ring production sizes come in 3.00mm, 4.00mm and 5.00mm thicknesses and widths of 6.50mm wide to 100mm wide. Our minimum orders for inner ring production is 50kg depending on the grade. Material can be supplied as coil or in lengths of a maximum 3 metre.

Stainless Band work with high technology industries. Our slitting and shearing services are available at 0.10mm - 3mm thickness and from 2.50mm wide. We can cut to length from 100mm long to 4000mm long. We provide a comprehensive temper rolling and edge dressing service including deburring round edge and straightening. We have in-house bobbin winding facilities on plastic bobbins or large wooden spools and can apply protective coatings to product if required. Use these Advance Thermal Stores for the provision of fast, safe hot water provision throughout the house. The thermal store principle stores central heating water in the tank. Mains pressure hot water is created with an internal powerful coil for power showers and quick bath filling. This coil is not pumped. The thermal store acts as a buffer to reduce boiler cycling and improve efficiencies - and heats the radiators quickly. The direct pattern (TSD) single coil with integrated feed and expansion tank has to be above the radiator circuit as the water is drawn from the tank for fast heat-up. You need two pumps - one for the boiler to keep the store hot - controlled by the thermostat on the store, and one for the heating circuit - controlled by the room thermostat and heating programmer.

The Advance Solar EnergyManager is a tried and tested thermal store design with an internal heat exchanger and shunt pump arrangement resulting in delivery of hot water equivalent to the volume of the tank at 43ºC. The solar version has a dedicated solar coil which reduces energy bills and reliance on fossil fuel. The solar thermal panels will contribute to heating and hot water during periods of solar gain. The shunt pump is pre fitted and wired to activate when taps or showers are turned on. The EnergyManager comes as shown above with wiring centre for installers to complete the wiring for the rest of the system. Full instructions for wiring the total system are included. At 65ºC operation the EnergyManager is perfect for underfloor or low temperature radiator circuits and offers efficiencies due to the temperature being lower than most thermal stores. As a thermal store it can reduce boiler cycling and act as a buffer for heating.

Use these Advance Thermal Stores for the provision of fast, safe hot water provision throughout the house. The indirect pattern cylinder (TSiC) without the integrated feed and expansion tank has to be fed with a remote F and E tank but can be sited anywhere in the property. They have two coils, the lower one for heat input from a boiler, the higher one for mains fed hot water services. They can be used with sealed system boilers and heating circuits on Y plan systems. These low maintenance pre plumbed units provide flow rates up to 30 litres per minute and if linked to the appropriate gas, oil, or LPG boiler are suitable for average to larger properties. The bottom coil must be pumped. The units look smart too, with a wipe-clean white appliance finish, and the insulation is 60mm foam injected for maximum efficiencies. Stainless steel construction offers a lightweight long life product. The stores are guaranteed for ten years, the parts for two.

The indirect pattern (TSi) Twin Coil with the integrated feed and expansion tank can be sited anywhere in the property. The lower coil can be connected to a sealed system boiler in a Y plan, thus only one pump is needed. The store remains vented, with the contents of the store used as a medium for heat transfer only. These low maintenance pre plumbed units provide flow rates up to 30 litres per minute and if linked to the appropriate gas, oil, solid fuel, biomass or other appliance (except Heat Pumps) are suitable for average to larger properties.
