Cygnus ROV Mountable ultrasonic thickness gage is depth rated to 500m and designed to operate in the harshest operating conditions, ideally suited for asset integrity inspections and pipeline inspections using ROV. Dedicated software displays and logs thickness measurements from the ROV UTG on to a computer at the surface. The Cygnus Topside Repeater (TSR) is available as an option and has the facility to display the thickness measurements remotely and overlay them on to a video signal. This allows the measurements to be superimposed on the ROV camera’s monitor screen. The Drallim Dehydrator type 12269 is an energy saving integrated unit for supplying low pressure dry air to, for example, telephone cables, waveguides and aerial feeders. Design emphasis is on reliability and low maintenance given the critical role of this unit within an operator’s system. These products provide a continuous supply for dried air, at pressure, to maintain the operational integrity of cable systems and broadcast transmitter feeds. This very high-performance unit is home to two 3/4HP compressors. This unit can produce more than 185 cubic feet per hour, this is regulated and split between up to 80 outlets, each with its own flowmeter for a visual indication of each cables demand for air. Mains Failure, High Humidity, Low Output Pressure, High Output Pressure, Compressor 1 and 2 Duty indicator. It’s low noise level of around 60dBA is quiet enough to allow it to be sited in manned areas.

The 12437 Waveguide Dehydrator, designed for cable pressurisation applications, has proved successful in numerous aerial and waveguide applications, and a low-pressure version has evolved. This unit is the same as its higher-pressure counterpart, but for an output regulator, and gauge which are more accurate within the 0.5 to 3 p.s.i. pressure band. This dehydrator uses an efficient 1/3 HP compressor to fill its large integral receiver to a pressure of up to 65 p.s.i. In addition, to the larger receiver, the unit benefits from built in compressor and receiver gauges. These gauges can help the operator to assess the condition of a unit, and help with fault finding in the event of a failure. Another useful feature of this unit is the humidity detector test facility, which assists in fault analysis alongside the standard remote alarms. In common with all our current units, the 12437 Waveguide Dehydrator is equipped with a thermal/magnetic overload circuit breaker with neon indicator.

Inspection contracts typically cover an inspection of the equipment at agreed intervals, followed by a detailed report stating any recommended maintenance, repairs or spares. Beyond the work covered by an inspection contract our service contracts cover the maintenance work, typically involving lubricant changes, replacement of wear plate and filter media.

Hydraulic cylinders used on shipboard machinery or in shipyards must endure the toughest of conditions, including hot and cold temperature extremes, exposure to salt water, driving rain, ice, as well as dirt and many other forms of contamination. That is an extremely abusive environment for hydraulic actuators.
