The 9206 USB sensor interface series is ideally suited to Notebook-based mobile use for high-precision, traceable calibration jobs that must be performed on-site for equipment such as presses, torque measurement facilities and pressure control systems. This device is used for converting standardized analog signals (0(4)-20mA, 0-10V, 0-5V) for example 4-20mA input to 0-10V output. The device has to be ordered for the specific conversion and can not be changed afterwards.

The RS422/USB converts digital signals from up to 4 optical sensors into a USB data packet. The new converter has 4 trigger inputs and a trigger output for connecting additional converters.The data are output via an USB interface. The converter as well as the connected sensor are parametrisable by software.

In practice the requirement often arises to convert the measurement signals of a sensor into a standard signal in the simplest possible manner in the immediate proximity of the sensor. This permits trouble-free, low-loss transmission of measured values over longer distances to an instrument board or plant controls. Ideally suited for this purpose is the in-line measuring amplifier, which is inserted in between in the connection cable by means of plug contacts. Owing to its compact, robust design and low weight, it finds use in almost any application. Even movable locations subject to forces of acceleration, for example manipulators, present no problems. It is intended mainly for use of control cabinets in just about any location and is matched to a specific sensor. The aluminium housing is extremely sturdy and affords the greatest possible protection even in harsh environments.

The interface and signal processing units extend the field of application of Micro-Epsilon sensors. The interface modules are used to convert sensor signals into digital or bus-compatible interfaces. This enables interfaces such as USB, RS422, Ethernet/IP, Profinet and EtherCAT for numerous sensors. The signal processing units are also used to record several sensor signals, to calculate and output them together. This is necessary, for example, for planarity measurement or thickness measurement.

The amplifier module model 9243 is used wherever measurement signals from strain gauges, potentiometric sensors or DC/DC sensors have to be converted into standard signals. Simply by mounting on conventional DIN-mount rails, it is possible to position the amplifier module on location, in the proximity of the sensor. Especially for rough environments a IP65 version is available. The broad auxiliary power range and the choice between AC or DC permits operation on standard power supplies used in switch gear cabinets. A highly precise reference voltage source is built-in for calibration purposes. A calibrating shunt can also be connected via two separate terminals. This permits deliberate detuning of a strain gauge sensor for calibration or merely to check the measuring chain.

With its rugged housing and a stainless steel sensor element, the transducer is particularly robust and ideally suited to the harshest environments. This also means that the sensor can be installed anywhere with no effect on the measurement signal. The built-in instrumentation amplifier converts the sensor signals into noise-immune voltage signals or current signals that can be transmitted over relatively long distances. For high viscose materials, a front-level membrane M12 x 1 is available, and with this disruptive dead volumes can be expelled. The sensor has a small protected hole on the rear to allow measurement of atmospheric pressure (measurement type relative). For the absolute measurement option, the applied pressure is measured with respect to an enclosed vacuum. As an electrical connection, a DIN 43650A valve connector or an M12 x 1, 4-pin connection is available.

The sensor model 8228 with its measuring accuracy of 0.05% F.S. (for the measuring ranges ≤ 1 bar, the measuring accuracy is 0.1% F.S.) ideally suited as a reference sensor. The compact dimensions, the robust housing and the industrial-grade output signal result in a very wide range of applications. All components in contact with media are made of stainless steel. An integrated measuring amplifier converts the measuring signals directly into interference-free voltage signals or current signals that can be transmitted over long distances. With the „gage“ measurement type, the pressure measurement is carried out against the ambient pressure, the sensor has a bore that is protected against ambient influences to compensate for the ambient pressure. With the „Absolute“ measurement type, the applied pressure is measured against an enclosed vacuum; this measurement type is available from the measuring range 0 ... 250 mbar. The electrical connection is made via an M12 x 1 connector.

The TI ADS7042IDCUR is an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that converts analog signals into 12-bit digital signals. It has a maximum sampling rate of 1MSPS (million samples per second) and is housed in an 8-pin US8 package. Magtrol’s line of Displacement Transducers provide contactless measurement of absolute piston position in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and other applications. pH sensor for water applications The OPTISENS PH 8100 sensor is characterised by standardised design, easy handling and a long life cycle. In combination with the MAC 100 signal converter it is possible to create an extremely reliable and low-cost measurement system, which is suitable for a wide range of water analysis measurement tasks. Designed as combined electrodes with built-in reference electrode the OPTISENS PH 8100 sensor type is equipped with two open diaphragms and integrated temperature sensor Pt100. ORP sensor for water applications The OPTISENS ORP 8590 sensor is characterised by standardised design, easy handling and a long life cycle. The OPTISONIC 6300 P is a portable, battery-powered ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter for temporary flow measurement of (non-)conductive liquids. It can be used at virtually any location and without process interruption or need to cut pipes. Due to its flexibility, the meter is equally suited for comparative measurements on stationary measuring equipment (e.g. pumps, flowmeters etc.) or for use as a short-term replacement of faulty devices. The OPTISONIC 6300 P consists of a combination of one or two clamp-on sensors and one handheld electronic signal converter. The robust clamp-on rail can be easily attached to almost any pipe up to DN1500/160". The readings of the meter are shown on the handheld LCD and are stored in the integrated memory for data logging. In addition, all readings can be transferred to a PC via the included USB stick in order to further analyse or store the data.
