The TSC Series is the Torque and Speed Conditioner used to connect Magtrol Eddy-Current (WB) or Powder (PB) Dynamometers to the DSP7000 Dynamometer Controller. Powered by the dynamometer controller, and based on a precision instrumentation amplifier, the unit amplifies and filters the torque signal. It also provides power and connections for the speed pickup sensor which is located in the dynamometer.

Magtrol's new PSD hand-held indicator is a stand-alone unit powered by 3 AA batteries or via USB. It is very compact (~160 x 80 x 50 mm) and can be easily carried and used on a civil engineering site, in a research & development office or laboratory as well as in production shop. Its case is ergonomic, waterproof (IP54) and protected by a rubber shock absorber. It is suitable to any type of strain gauge transducers, being a load cell, a load pin or a reaction torque sensor. The internal amplifier can process signal range of ±0.3 ... 5 mV/V. MSD Mega Speed Dynamometer is the latest Magtrol innovation in the very high-speed motor and system testing. Challenged by its numerous customers in the Dental and Surgical field, Magtrol is pushing the limit to a level which was never reached. The braking effect is based on Eddy-Current induced on an aluminum disc directly mounted on the DUT (Device Under Test) shaft. Torque is measured frictionless by a 20 mN·m Reaction Torque Sensor having a resolution of 0.01 mN·m. Due to the thermal effect on the disc, the Mega Speed Dynamometer is not suit­able for endurance testing, but can be used to generate a fast curve or perform point to point testing. An infrared sensor monitors the temperature of the disc and stops the test in case of overheating. The disc can be designed and sized according to the motor parameters. Analog measured values are indicated, evaluated and calculated by the process meter. With the integrated loop power supply two-wire sensors can be powered. The universal inputs enable the connection of current, voltage, RTDs and TCs. Limit values can be monitored and relays can be switched. Via analog outputs process signals can be forwarded. The flow and energy manager RMC621 calculates standard volume as well as mass and energy flows of natural and technical gases, fluids and steam from flow, pressure, temperature and density. Depending on the medium calculation of the energy values occurs according to international standards (IAPWSIF97, SGERG88), real gas equations (SRK) or specific tables. For differential pressure measurements coefficients for flow compensation are calculated over the complete operating range of the flow sensor.

The process meter monitors and displays the analog measured values. Pumps can be monitored with the digital status inputs. The RIA452 can provide power directly to two-wire sensors connected. Up to eight freely programmable relays monitor the measured value. Other operating modes for the relays include sensor or device malfunction, batch and pump control functions. Furthermore, the RIA452 can be used as a preset counter and for measuring flow at open channels and measuring weirs.

The indicator shows the measured signal on the large, backlit display. A bar graph indicates the value graphically for a quick process overview. An editable plain text field displays further information like engineering unit or TAG. Limit value infringement is also signalized and an open collector can be switched. The indicator is powered directly from the 4...20 mA loop and doesn't need a separate power supply. For applications in hazardous areas the device is available with Ex approvals.

The Waterpilot FMX21 transmitter with capacitive, oil-free ceramic measuring cell is typically used in the process and environmental applications for hydrostatic level measurement.
