The RS line is equipped with a threaded spindle. From size 75 mm on, all dovetail slides (type SS) are equipped with a digital position readout. Different installation options allow to read the display from different viewing directions. The housing consists of shockproof plastic. The digital display allows to make fast adjustments over the complete measuring path. The highest accuracy class “Ultra-Precision plus” impresses with an accuracy of 0.0005 mm, thus 0.5 µm. Due to the fact that the control unit of the Föhrenbach slides is compatible with the interfaces of almost all measuring systems, this extraordinary repeatability does not depend on a particular system or a specific provider. Föhrenbach profiled guide slides with integrated linear motor are available in the series PFL (with bellows covers) and PCL (with sheet metal covers). For both series three sizes are available. We developed three resp. two linear motors of different force.

Our cross roller guide rails are freely interchangeable standard elements. Our guide rails allow the assembly of extremely rigid and precise linear guides without any play. Benefits Able to carry high loads running extremely smooth require little space long serviceable life Mounting instructions: When mounting the guide rails make sure the bearing surfaces have been machined in a parallel manner and are to the angle. The tolerances of the bearing and mounting surfaces shall conform to the process tolerances of the guide rails (standard quality). The prestress applied depends on the respective mounting conditions, on the rigidity of the assembled slide structure respectively. We recommend to apply a prestress equivalent to a value between 5 and 20 % of the maximum admissible load. However, the load carrying ability of the overall guide rail structure thus realized will, at any case, be reduced by the prestress applied.

The RA line descripes a roller beared slide in a special sealed version. The standard type is equipped with a gap seal (approx. 0.5 mm). Special types with felt or nylon scrapers are possible, too. As compared to guide rails (dovetail type) they enable exact and easy displacement of parts, free from play.

The V shape of the shaft support is the result of purposeful internal development work at Föhrenbach. The most important advantage comes from having the greatest possible distance between the shafts and above all in the lay-out of the four ball-bearing housings whose loadbearing rows of balls are located underneath the shaft. The unitized, modular type like design realized with these devices enables to cover a wide range of application specific solutions. Manufactured in standard widths from 75 to 425 mm and in lenghts of up to 4000 mm, the products are designed to provide solutions that allow to cover almost all handling and mounting tasks that need to be met.
